The workshop programme has been developed to address some of the specific challenges facing the sector which were identified during a recent round of Procurement & Commercial Capability Programme (PCIP) assessments.
These ‘hands on’ events provide a platform for delegates to develop good practice, plans and solutions for their own workplaces. Kicking off with presentations from experts with experience of each area, the majority of the day revolves around breakout sessions using a variety of problem solving tools.
Local authority delegates take priority for workshops places, and attend free of charge through their council’s membership of Scotland Excel. Any remaining spaces can be booked by other public sector organisations at a cost of £75 (£50 for associate members).
Masterclasses take the workshop learning approach to another level. Led by respected academics who are considered ‘thought leaders’ in their field, these events take a strategic view of the issues facing the sector.
Masterclasses are free for local authority delegates, with fees for other public sector organisations charged at the same rate as workshops.
