Social Care Agency Workers framework goes live
Renewal sees mix of 15 micro, small, medium and large providers awarded to the framework
Our new Social Care Agency Workers framework is now live to help councils source the resources they need to deliver essential care services within communities.
It will be in place until July 2022 and has secured fixed pricing for two years – bringing price stability and best value to councils, and fair rates of pay to workers.
A key aim of the framework was to increase competition within the social care recruitment market – and open up opportunities for SMEs. Fifteen providers have secured a place on the framework, representing a mix of micro, small, medium and large (four are classed as micro).
The framework will offer services across three lots: care roles, professional roles, and ancillary roles. It has also been divided into 17 regional areas to ensure a strong pool of providers for each area, and address supply issues in rural areas.
Community benefits will be delivered through the framework - based on an annual spend threshold for suppliers for each council.
