Care & Support Services framework - new deadline for tenders
Important change to tender deadline
Our national, flexible Care & Support Services framework was advertised on Public Contracts Scotland on 27th September.
This framework has been developed to help councils and care providers to work collaboratively to place people at the heart of service design and delivery.
We have engaged with hundreds of providers since the tender process began – both through the mechanism on PCS and via webinars run in conjunction with the Supplier Development Programme – and anticipate widespread participation.
In addition to supporting the Health and Social Care Standards, the Care & Support Services framework plays into a number of Scottish Government National Outcomes including, ‘Reduce the proportion of employees earning less than the Living Wage’.
To this end, we have extended the deadline for submission of tenders from noon on 8th November until noon on 12th November, so providers can take account of the Living Wage Foundation’s announcement on the real Living Wage on 11th November which will be made as part of Living Wage Week.
A Q&A that captures key questions raised in the webinars, is now available alongside other Care & Support services tender documents on PCS. The deadline for providers to ask procurement questions for this tender on PCS is noon on Friday, 1st November.
